One of the most common questions we get asked is “How do Scent Diffusers work?”

To better explain how the diffusers work, let’s look at our  Aircon Eco Scent Diffuser which is designed to operate with commercial air conditioning systems.
The Aircon Eco Scent Diffuser has a patented micro-nebulisation system which allows the complete transfer of a fragrance (pure fragrance oil) from a liquid state directly into a gas phase. This means that the humidity, or ‘mist’, cannot be seen or measured.

Now, let’s have a look inside an operating Aircon Eco:

The Scent Diffuser uses a fragrance container, from which the system extracts the right amount of fragrance. The fragrance is then nebulised by the micro-diffuser and blown into the bypass-tube, which connects the Aircon Eco to the air handling unit. From here, the scent is diffused into the commercial environment via the air conditioner tunnels. The programmed controller unit is responsible for the frequency and intensity of the scent delivery. This control unit can be pre-programmed in advance to emit the fragrance every day for a number of years depending on the desired intensity of the fragrance.

Unlike other less advanced scent diffuser technologies which heat the scent and pump air into the fragrance liquid, Atmosfera’s patented Scent Diffuser technology uses cold air micro-nebulisation technology.

The result is a consistently high level of scent quality over a period of time, with no residuals in the air conditioning system’s HVAC (heating ventilation and air conditioning) tunnels.
